Animal Shelter

The County had some problems with how and who was running the Animal Shelter.

There were so many problems that the County Commissioners worked with the public to create a solution.

The solution was not that the County run the shelter. In actuality the County violated their own ordinance as well as Covenants embedded into the ordinance.

(Covenants are the oldest form of Contract and can only be removed by a Judge or God)

The failures go on from there:

1. Failure to select the lowest bidder

2. Failure to finance the building properly

3. Failure to notify the public of material changes

4. Failure to follow the Request for Proposal procedures and provide the contract to Desert Haven Animal Rescue (501c3)

5. Actively took actions to violate Constitutional Rights

6. Creation of more bureaucracy

Of course we notified agencies

We attempted to let everyone know

There was a press conference, an injunction filed (erroneously dismissed by Judge Kimberly Wanker)

Judge Wanker actually stated from the bench that she never even looked at the merits. This Judge cannot do. Criminal acts were discussed in the filing as well as the County being properly served in light of the criminal acts.

County Ordinance 571
